Sometimes when I look for nail art inspiration on the runway, a collection just screams out to me. Such was the case for the Spring 2013 collection from Alexander Wang. I’m not sure if I’d be wearing any of these pieces, but I can tell you they make for some interesting nail designs. The clear cut-outs are such a cool and of-the-moment trend that I wanted to call attention to—but how to translate it onto nails? A simple taping off of your bare nail was just the trick! Usually when I tape off designs I start with a base coat, but in order to get this see-through effect, minimal is the way to go.

That mani is seriously bad arse!

Great job with the tape. Sometimes, that can be the most annoying part. The nails look just like the Alexander Wang clothes. I have to pin!
