Absinthe Cat Nails

It’s almost Halloween, and you know what that means… holiday themed nail art! I wore these creepy cats to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando last week and they were perfect for a spooky accent nail. Because I paired them with my current favorite blue-green color and gave the eyes a hint of lime green, they ended up reminding me of the Lucid cat absinthe bottle. All you need is a somewhat steady hand for this design and you’re good to go. I’m also going to bring back one of my past favorite nail art designs (monster nails) before the month is over because they’re just too fun to pass up.

SinfulColors Innocent, Nicole by OPI Mer-Maid for Each Other, Sally Hansen White On, OPI Black Onyx, small paint brush

Start with a base coat of Mer-Maid for Each Other and then with the regular nail polish brush, paint a black semi-circle on the bottom half of your nail. With the small paint brush, paint two tall black triangles on for the ears. Clean off the paint brush and with the white, paint two almond shapes for the eyes. Let it dry and then paint small black slits through each white eye. Take the lime green polish and paint a little color on either side of the pupil, leaving some white to show through around the sides.

Super cute, lady. As I said on Sunday, your nails look awesome! I love that you used an absinthe bottle as inspiration…One of these days you will need to try it, though Lucid isn’t a very good one, the bottle is still pretty cool. :)
