I had the pleasure of attending the J Crew fall preview a few days ago, hosted by fellow blogger Kristin Clark, and boy did I find some great fall inspiration! Everywhere you turned there were brights, stripes, polka dots, french hens, metallic heels, chain details, glittery and studded headbands… luckily I had my camera with me to help take it all in. At first I was surprised to see so many brights in their fall collection (fully expecting to see more muted tones) but their use of color was great in how they transitioned seasons: from fuchsia chino shorts in the summer to fuchsia corduroy pants and cashmere sweaters for the fall. Who says you need to tone it down in the chilly air? Certainly not J Crew!

What a great preview party! I love the bright colors and patterns almost as much as those cupcakes ;) I do love their new jewelry collection of ornately funky pieces (I think the necklace I like is slide 3 of your picks). Makes me think fall/winter will be a little less drab this year!
