Hi guys! I’m back from my carribbean vacation and it was so much fun and so beautiful (photos to come soon)! Here’s one thing I DIY’d in time to pack for my trip…
It was bound to happen— I’m jumping on the dip-dye train with some pink on pink action. I had this light pink shirt that wasn’t getting much wear and felt that it needed a little something special. Originally, I intended for this to be ombre but my dye was too strong; it’s still pretty darn cute!
Start with a plain pink tee and fuschia Rit dye. Get the shirt wet and wring out any excess water. Then dunk it in as far as you want the color to go up on the shirt and then hang the bottom of the shirt in the dye. (I used a trouser hanger and hung it off the side of my picnic table.) If you want an ombre look then make a dye bath with a more diluted solution and dip all the way, then add more pigment and dip a bit less. My solution was really strong so even though I hung the bottom of the shirt in the dye longer, it all ended up being the same shade. Oops!

I still think it looks amazing! Great DIY!
