As soon as I saw these cactus dresses coming down the runway in Jeremy Scott’s spring 2012 show I knew I had to do some kind of DIY with them. Seeing as how succulents are all the rage this year, it seemed like a no-brainer to include them in what you wear. I love the playful print and bright colors of these dresses so I decided to translate that into some fun summer nail art. Enjoy!

Colors used: Essie ‘Lovie Dovie‘, Sinful Colors ‘Innocent’, Julep ‘Vanessa‘ and ‘Marisa‘

Start with a base coat of Lovie Dovie on all nails except on the ring finger, where you will start with a coat of Vanessa. Paint a diagonal line at the tip of the nail with the pink and color it in. With a small paintbrush, paint a green line down the middle of the nail almost to the nail bed. Then paint a “U” shape in the middle of that line. Finish it with a blue diagonal line on the tip.
