Isabel Marant Inspired (+ a DIY Sweater)

I got this sweater a few months ago from Shop Frankie’s, the online store owned by Nicole of Frankie Hearts Fashion. I wore it a few times but found it rather large and bulky for me and needed to do something to make it more special. It was the perfect candidate for a DIY I’d been planning— a messy stitched yarn design with multiple colors, inspired by a sweater I saw in the Isabel Marant spring 2012 show (see below).

It just so happens that my army green sweater with distressed detailing on the back closely resembled this one also from Isabel Marant (left), so I put that together with the stitched design like on the right (photo via here). Here’s the easy instructions of how I did it:
